Ethos, Values & Beliefs

"Follow the way of love and eagerly desire the gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy."

1 Corinthians 14:1

Ethos

Passion:

I am a passionate man; I love God, people and life passionately.

Freedom:

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. I am exploring the fullness of that freedom and living in it out as best I can.

Spirit:

I am not content to live an intellectual & academic faith only; I want to live a supernatural life in the power of the Holy Spirit. I want to know God personally, intimately and experientially.

Destiny:

I want to fulfill my God given destiny and help other do the same.

"A new command I give you: Love one another.

As I have love you, so you must love one another.

By this everyone will know you are my disciples,

if you love one another.

John 13:34-35

Values

Worship:

That touches the heart of God and inspires His people.

The Word:

My standard, inerrant, and Divinely inspired.

Relationship:

Friendships that are authentic, gracious, loving, and trustworthy.

Reaching Out:

Giving what I've got to who I can, no strings attached.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him,

so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

Romans 15:13

Beliefs

God:

I have two undeniable truths concerning God. Number one: God is good. Number two: God loves me. Everything else in life begins at number three. God is perfect, holy and just. He is the very essence of love. God is one; omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Father:

God the Father is the all-powerful creator and sustainer of the universe. He created us for relationship with Him; and then created all that is so that we would have a place to meet with Him. He is our Abba, our Papa. He is the ultimate expression of fatherhood. Everything he does is motivated by His matchless love.

Son:

Jesus is the perfect fullness of God incarnate. Conceived of the Spirit and born of the Virgin; by His sinless life, death and resurrection He restored humanity's relationship with the Trinity. Jesus has set us free that we might live in freedom.

Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit lives within us. He teaches us, comforts us and guilds us. His presence allows intimacy with the Trinity and empowers us to live supernaturally.

Scripture:

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant and authoritative Word of God.

The Church:

The Church is the bride of Christ. The object of God’s divine affection. She exists to love God and introduce others to our astonishing Bridegroom.

Grace:

Our relationship with God is made possible by God’s outrageous and indiscriminate grace. Even our ability to trust God is an expression of His great and lavish love for us, His rich mercy and His superabundant grace.

Stand firm, then, And do not let yourself be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."
